Overview
IWMM is an integrated water management model for wards facing chronic dry-season water stress — cutting groundwater extraction while transforming how a community collects, reuses and recharges its water, paired with RareRipe climate-smart irrigation.
Wards 3, 6, 8 and 11 of Chapainawabganj face chronic water stress from March to June. The IWMM hub acts as the central point for water sourcing, management and behaviour change.
The model makes rainwater harvesting, water recycling and wetland-based natural purification standard, maximising reuse and groundwater recharge.
A dedicated website and mobile app support real-time monitoring. The initial hub rolls out within 12 months.
