A simple, holistic technology system for smallholder farmers — combining a seed germinator / seedling incubator with a climate-adaptive irrigation and early-warning system, delivered through a community Climate-Smart Farming Hub.
The Climate-Smart Farming Hub tackles declining yields, delayed planting and adverse weather with a single harmonised system that smallholder farmers can actually use. It integrates a seed germinator/seedling incubator with a climate-adaptive irrigation and warning system.
Delivered through a community-powered cooperative — the hub owns the assets, a cooperative operates them, and farmers benefit — the model builds inclusiveness with strong participation of women and elderly people in training, operation and decision-making.
The approach is backed by a peer-reviewed publication and a documented technology trial.
