Overview
The RegenHill Forest (RHF) Model is HEAL's carbon-credit and hybrid forestation approach for degraded hill landscapes — propagating local species for rapid carbon sequestration while restoring biodiversity and stabilising slopes against landslides and erosion.
RHF combines hybrid methods (including Miyawaki, successional agroforestry and assisted natural regeneration approaches used in HEAL's hill demonstrations) with carbon-credit forestry suited to Chittagong Hill Tracts conditions.
The model pairs ecological restoration with resilience engineering — bio-engineering techniques such as vetiver and contour planting stabilise slopes against landslides and soil erosion.
It underpins biodiversity business incubation and community seed banks that preserve local, climate-resilient varieties. Further project documentation will be provided later.
